A day at the Maternal
The various activities are distributed throughout the day according to the children’s attention skills. The moments of regrouping and collective work alternate with learning situations in the workshop.
- The Knowledge and Culture Center
It is a place of linguistic and cultural resources of the school (books, videos, audio cassettes, TV, computers, Internet …). It is managed by a team of documentary filmmakers. - Educational outings
To develop specific educational projects, classes will be able to leave the school to discover their surroundings: outings can be one or half day supervised by teachers and accompanied by parent volunteers.
Specialized Maternal Staff (ASEM)
In accordance with the operation of the French Maternal School, the children benefit from the services of an agent specialized in maternal, they have a profile of kindergarten teachers in the Colombian system in each class. This staff has a very important educational role with the children. They participate with the teacher in the supervision, hygiene and safety of the young students (class, snack, food, nap in a small section). They prepare and maintain the equipment for the activities and ensure its hygiene and storage. It is staff that follows a process of training in the French language, who can, under the direction of the teacher, supervise a teaching activity and be an integral part of the educational team. However, unlike the teacher, he is not responsible for teaching.
