With the approval of cycle III by the Agency for French Education Abroad – AEFE, we intend not only to be recognized nationally and internationally, but also to implement educational programs that prepare students to excel in an increasingly interconnected and diverse world.

The Mountain Toucan: Emblem and Mascot of the International French Lyceum of Bogota
We are pleased to present the Mountain Toucan, an emblematic bird of the municipality of La Calera, as the new institutional mascot of the Liceo Francés Internacional de Bogotá. This magnificent bird, known scientifically as Andigena laminirostris, symbolizes not only the biodiversity and natural wealth of our region, but also the values and aspirations of our educational community.
Meaning of the Mountain Toucan
The Mountain Tucan is a fascinating species that inhabits the cloud forests of the Andes. Its colourful plumage and characteristic long bill make it a symbol of beauty and diversity. By choosing the Mountain Toucan as our mascot, we seek to highlight the importance of environmental conservation and biodiversity, fundamental pillars in our education for sustainable development.
