The primary school welcomes school-age children from 6 to 11 years old. It has two cycles: cycle 2 (CP, CE1, CE2) and cycle 3 (CM1 and CM2). The lessons are designed by cycle, lasting three years:
Cycle 2, or the fundamental learning cycle, includes the preparatory course (CP), the first year elementary course (CE1) and the second year elementary course (CE2).
Cycle 3, or consolidation cycle, includes the first year average course (CM1) and the second year average course (CM2); The consolidation cycle continues at the university, in sixth grade.
Elementary school learning.
Mastering the French language and the first elements of mathematics are the primary objectives of elementary school to allow students to access the fundamental tools of knowledge.
Students discover learning a foreign language (foreign or regional). In Cycle 2, the program offers world-questioning lessons, art lessons (fine arts and music education), sports and physical education, and civic and moral education.
In Cycle 3, students consolidate their learning in these areas, discover science and technology, history and geography, the history of the arts.
The school takes into account the plurality and diversity of the abilities of each student. In addition to reasoning and intellectual reflection, the sense of observation, a taste for experimentation, sensitivity, motor skills and creative imagination are developed.

The common base of knowledge, skills and culture
The “common base of knowledge, skills and culture” constitutes the set of knowledge, skills, values and attitudes necessary for successful schooling, life as an individual citizen and future. From elementary school to the end of compulsory education, students gradually acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to master this common foundation.
The evaluations
The evaluations make it possible to monitor the progress of each student in relation to the objectives defined in the programs. Based on this observation, teachers provide help to students who need it.
Support systems
Support systems complement compulsory lessons in primary school. Children can benefit from additional educational activities, refresher courses for students in CE1, CM1 and CM2. These devices promote academic success for everyone.
